I’ve been living in Nashua, New Hampshire, with my wife and daughter, for almost 40 years, and am originally a native of Watertown, Massachusetts.
I’ve been on the HOA board since November 2014. I’m on my second 3-year term which expires next fall.
My family first skied at Sunday River back in the late 90s on weekend trips with the Southern NH Ski Group. We’d stay in the Cascades or Sunrise Condos usually with other friends, and being out on the mountain was the real treat. We bought a one-bedroom lockout at the Jordan in 2002 with a friend. In 2004, he bought us out and we got the one-bedroom loft unit we have now.
My wife and I ski, and our daughter began on skis, went to snowboarding, then came to her senses and went back to skiing! She went to University of Colorado for 4 years of college, and we visited every winter to ski Colorado! We are happy to say she has since got over being a powder snob and really enjoys the challenges, technical skiing, and the sometimes great powder that Sunday River can throw at you.
We enjoy fall and summer at the Jordan and the surrounding area, taking advantage of the outdoors; hiking, kayaking and rafting on the Androscoggin, and sometimes just having a relaxing getaway.
I have been the Treasurer of the Town of Pelham since 1982. Since that time I have run and been elected 12 times to stay in office. I remain in that office today. I manage over $50M in annual revenues and expenses for the town. I have also represented the Town of Pelham in the New Hampshire State Legislature for two terms from 2012 to 2016.
I served on the Deer Run East Condominium Association (Naples, Maine) Board of Directors from 1990 to 1995. I also do bookkeeping for Secret Harbor Owners Association (Bridgton, Maine) and have helped them develop capital reserve plans for long-term expenses. Initially, they were doing assessments when they needed money, now they have a healthy reserve account and are well-positioned to be able to manage those expenses without the assessments.
I am semi-retired now, but my career involved bookkeeping and accounting as well as computerized accounting system installations, primarily small business applications like One Write Plus and Sage (formerly knows as Peachtree).
My husband, Hal, and I are original owners at the Summit and bought two units at the Jordan pre-construction. We bought our final unit at the Jordan at inventory clearance to give us all four weeks.
We love skiing at Sunday River and have enjoyed every year up there since we made our initial purchase. We trade our summer weeks to travel and we have been places we probably wouldn’t have gone without the timeshare aspect of ownership.
I would like to be re-elected to the Board to offer any help that I can. Thank you for your consideration.
