Hello Jordan Hotel Owners!
I hope you are all well and enjoying the dog days of summer. We have had a busy month at the hotel. We had our first wedding last weekend and we are ramping up for few busy weeks with Tough Mountain Challenge and the Forrest Rally along with a few weddings the next two weekends. It is so nice to see things slowly return to normal and being able to welcome our guests and owners back to the hotel without the Covid requirements.
The Sunday River Golf Course is in prime condition, scenic lift rides are open on weekends with discounted tickets available to lodging guests and the Jordan Spa has reopened for facial and massage services. Northern Lights has expanded its hours on Friday nights and is now offering pool service. They have also added a limited selection of ice cream to their menu. The Golf Course’s Club House restaurant is also open for dinner daily, it is a short drive for our guests/owners and the service, views and food has been getting great reviews.
Last Saturday, we had our second Mugs in the Mountains owner coffee event in the Crown Club. We had about thirty people attend, just about every owner who was staying with us this weekend. It was wonderful to see owners getting to know each other. Katie and I also enjoyed chatting with everyone in person. We are looking forward to making this a regular event in the winter and are working on some other fun social events for owners for the next few months. Stay tuned!
We have implemented a new communication tool at the hotel called Alice. We are now able to send a welcome text message to all guests and owners on their arrival day with the hotel contact information, a link to the Hotel Guest Guide and information about housekeeping services. Guests/owners can of course opt out of receiving these texts from us. We are also using Alice to better communicate housekeeping and maintenance tasks and requests amongst our team. In the short time that we have been using it, Alice has been a very useful tool and very well received.
We have been very busy with projects around the hotel. We are making progress on deep cleaning the rooms and in room maintenance tasks as well as the tedious wallpaper removal project. Our team is counting down the rooms!
The third phase of the roof replacement project is underway. The center section of the slope side roof will be replaced this summer. The Wi-Fi upgrade project will be done in the next couple of weeks. The entire building has had updated cabling and hardware installed. With this upgrade speed and coverage in all of the guest rooms and common areas will be improved. We are also working on projects to improve the hot water recirculation, replace sections of the exterior siding, replace the pool fence, replace in room windows that are fogged and much more!
I hope you are all well and enjoying summer. Hope to see you at the hotel soon.
Kind regards,
Meredith Harrop
