Sunday River and its surrounding communities offer a vast variety of summer activities. Whether it’s golfing at the scenic Sunday River Golf Club, exploring a new hobby through Sunday River Outfitters, taking a scenic gondola ride, or hiking local and resort trails, there are many outdoor activities that make the Western Mountains of Maine the perfect place for a summer getaway.

DEEP CLEANING
Hotel rooms are being deep cleaned and maintenance repairs are underway. We already have a long summer project list started and our maintenance and housekeeping teams will be doing a thorough, top to bottom, inspection of each room. However, if you have any specific items you would like addressed please complete our Maintenance Request Form.

Where are you from? Waterford, Connecticut
Favorite outdoor activity? Snowboarding – If I could be on a snowboard every single day, I would! But I also love hiking, longboarding and gardening!
One fun fact about you? I live completely off grid
The thing that most excites you about working at Sunday River? Getting to know all the great people there and learning something new!
Favorite hotel experience, and why? Indian Head Resort, NH. I grew up going there every summer and winter. They were always so welcoming, remembered us, had so many activities on site for the guests as well as the surrounding areas. It honestly reminds me of how Sunday River strives for the year round experience and I love it!
If you could describe yourself as any ice cream flavor, what would it be and why? I would say Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! It’s my favorite ice cream, but the chocolate chip part is a staple, always reliable. And digging for the cookie dough is the adventure part and I’m always looking for a new adventure or goal!
RENOVATION UPDATE
Phase I of the Jordan Renovation is officially complete! Finishing touches wrapped up in June and the lobby is looking stunning! For more pictures of the progress, check out the Renovation Updates page!
SUMMER FUN
Sunday River Golf Club, the #1 course in Maine, is open 7 days a week!
Pop in for a game at our spectacular course.
Not much of a golfer? No problem! Grab a bite to eat and make in the breathtaking views of the Mahoosuc Mountain range from the Clubhouse deck.
Sunday River Outfitters offers courses in kayaking, archery, axe throwing, and stand-up paddleboarding, as well as a longer kayak tour. Explore the region with us and learn a new skill this summer. Important to know, SRO will be based out of South Ridge this season.

Take a ride up to the top of North Peak on our Chondola for sweeping views of the Sunday River Valley and Mahoosuc Mountains, including the third-highest peak in Maine, Old Speck. On the way up, you can choose to ride on an open chair or in an enclosed gondola cabin. Then to head back down, ride in a gondola, or walk down one of our hiking trails. The Chondola is dog, kid, and grandparent-friendly, so you’ll want to pack up your whole family for this scenic adventure.
